Beginning in 2023, Russian organist and improviser Vladimir Khomyakov (Владимир Хомяков) joined forces with Alash in several experimental concerts. It turned out to be an extraordinary collaboration between two very different musical worlds, making a strong impression on the musicians as well as the listeners. Vladimir used the organ to create a kind of “sound ocean” that surrounded and enhanced the overtones in Alash's voices and instruments, giving them new harmonic depth and at times an unexpected rhythmic vitality.
